Dennis and Kimberly Quaid Medical Drama With Newborn Twins

Dennis Quaid is suing the manufacturer of anti-coagulant drug Heparin. Quaid and wife Kimberly’s newborn twins (Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace) were inadvertently given overdose levels of the drug at Cedar-Sinai hospital due to a dosage mixup.

The state Department of Public Health is investigating reports of an incident involving newborn twins at the hospital, said agency spokeswoman Suanne Buggy, who declined to elaborate.

The twins were home Tuesday and “appear to be doing well,” said Susan E. Loggans, the Chicago attorney who filed the lawsuit. “The Quads are a religious family, and they really believe the prayers of the public saved their kids.”
